Today's Word of Wonder: Stewardship
The Scripture Spotlight for Today
"Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom."
— Psalm 90:12 (NIV)
The Devotion: Precision in the Presence
We often treat our time like it’s an infinite resource, yet we act like we are slaves to the clock. We "spend" time, "waste" time, and "kill" time. But the Psalmist invites us to something deeper: Stewardship.
The WOW Moment today is realizing that being intentional is a form of worship.
When we "number our days," we aren't being morbid; we are being mindful. We are recognizing that every Monday is a gift that we won't get back. Intentionality is the "Heart-Work" of deciding that your peace is more important than your productivity. It is choosing to "Abide" even when the "Doing" is shouting.
Today, don't just "get through" the day. Lead your heart through it. If you don't decide what your priority is, someone else will decide it for you. When you move with intention, you find that you have more than enough time for what God has actually called you to do.
Wonder Prompt (Actionable Reflection)
Stop right now and look at the next three hours of your day.
- Action: Pick the most "stressful" task on your list. Before you start it, pause for 10 seconds and say: "I am doing this with God, for God, and in God’s peace." * Shift: Notice how the task transforms from a "burden" into a "choice" when you bring intentionality into the room.
- Prayer: "Lord, teach me to number my minutes today. Help me to move with purpose rather than pressure. I give You my schedule and ask that You lead my heart in every interaction. Amen."
